Canadian Places

Before I embarked on There is nothing to see here in Scarborough, I took many test images around Ontario that recorded the subjects that I was interested in. These were to taken to help me decide in which direction I should go with my project. After some months I returned to these images and found that they were strong enough to stand alone as a short essay that examines our human constructed landscape here in Ontario. I processed the images in the style you see below in homage to a photographer who is both a favourite of mine and a major influence on my work - the great Robert Adams.
